It's all starting to come to life

This is my house?

PINCH ME I MUST BE DREAMING!

The Littlest Hobo

We are all about silly rituals in our family, things we do our special way, weird not normal and strange to most.
But we enjoy it, like... garage sale hunting Saturday's (it's a family affair).
Our nightly games of hide and seek, and ninja even my teenager's must play.
"Picking" which I will dedicate another blog to.

Our new ritual is waking up early Sat and Sun and watching a mini marathon of The Littlest Hobo reruns.

We're obsessed, I just can get enough of it, its nostalgic and I still cry at the end of every episode just like I did when I was a kid.

What's even cooler is it was shot all over Ontario from the big city of Toronto to the country side of Wellington, Dufferin, Halton, Caledon.

I hope you sit down with your family, enjoy and fall in love with London the dog a.k.a Hobo.
Laugh at the crazy hair styles and clothing.
Recognize the town they shot that episode.

Just like we do

My Sister In-law...

csp6091021 The Grand Mayan Riviera Maya in Riviera Maya, Mexico Kantenah Sunrise In The Shade

Have I ever told you about Laura?
She's my sister in-law and a best friend, she married my only brother and I am so lucky to have her as part of my family.
She just blessed me recently with my first niece Samantha Daniela DiMatteo.
There will more about Samantha in another blog, because this one is all about LAURA!
Laura is Beautiful, funny as all hell, smart, witty...
She makes you feel so good when you first see her, she will always flood you with lovely compliments.
And notices everything new or different about you.
I know what your all thinking "well so is my sister in-law" but did your sister enter you in a contest and win you a trip to THE MAYAN RIVIERA?
98.1 CHFI So one morning after a very hard and depressing week around 7am I wake up to the phone ringing, I'm thinking "oh boy someone calling this early can't be good".
I answer the phone unwillingly...."Daniela its me Laura" (my minds going a mile a minute, thinking something wrong with Samantha...) "Don't hang up" I entered you in a contest at CHFI and you won a trip to the Mayan Riviera." I respond "what are you talking about Laura don't play with me...when the radio host from CHFI responded " Daniela your sister in-law Laura wrote us an essay explaining the hard year your family has had, and you won the trip."
She did this for us...she unselfishly loves us so so much and was so empathetic to our hard times.

I LOVE YOU LADY LAURINGTON!

A dream come true

I never dreamed I'd be designing my own house.

Let alone seeing my dream come to life...

A light at the end of our tunnel...

A couple of weeks ago we started to rebuild our home, I never thought this day would ever come.
Although its been almost a year since the fire, its been hard to put behind all the pain and suffering my family has had to endure.

Its now time.
I am looking forward to a new year, and my old life.

I'm back....

Last time I posted in my blog I was dealing with the ordeal of losing everything in a house fire...
Well almost everything, my family pets and I got out ok.
My middle guy Kayne was in the shower when the fire broke and engulfed the second floor surrounding and trapping him in the bathroom.
Thanks to my hero, my husband he got him out through the window, he inhaled smoke and was naked and black from head to toe but alive and well. THANK you GOD.

For the next few months I plan on dedicating my blogs to the ups and downs, emotional highs and lows, exciting plans of rebuilding our lives, getting over the "what if syndrome"
the step by step rebuilding of memories we lost, the home we shared, and the lives we once lived.
Please take this journey with me and my family...I believe God had me ordeal this hardship to help someone else who may need help in this situation.

So hold on and enjoy the ride
